The Smokey Point Massage Therapy LLC website is a great example of a website design developed from the client's marketing materials. It is also a good illustration of what a good value a custom website by Artemis Computing can be. The current site is very similar to the original version that was developed in 2008. When it came time to update it for mobile, it didn't need a visual update because the site was already designed to match the other marketing materials and the design was clean so it is still fresh. On a technical level, it was already flexible so it only took a little work to make it responsive and also work on cell, and to make some adjustments so the navigation works easier on touch screens..
Something fun and interesting about the Smokey Point Massage banner that you might not notice unless we told you is that it is made up of several components that slide rather than being one piece. This means we can mix and match components for different occasions.
- When you visit the site and play with the width of your browser, notice how the images slide and reveal the center section or tuck behind each other.
- It's always done this. When modernizing, we just needed to make it go one more adjustment to shrink down from old small screen to modern tiny mobile.
- Design-wise, it was pure luck that the size of the orange area with the Smokey Point name and logo was about the right size for mobile screen.
- The multiple parts which slide mean we can have a mix and match set of components.
